The supermarkets in Siem Reap are a good alternative if you want to avoid the heat and bustle of the local markets. Usually they are airconditioned and you will find most of the products that you miss form home.

The main supermarkets offer a wide range of imported products from Europe, China, Thailand, Korea and America. Most neighborhoods also have  one or more smaller minimarts, which are sometimes open 24h. These minimarts are on average a bit more expensive, but are a convenient option in case you need to make an urgent purchase. 

TIP: Most supermarkets are relatively expensive and it's not possible to bargain down prices. If you have a limited budget, make sure to check the local markets and shops before buying at a supermarket.

Angkor Market is probably the most popular supermarket in Siem Reap, offering a wide range of international brands. On average, prices are a bit lower than in Lucky Market, it's biggest competitor.

When visiting Angkor Market, you will discover many products that you can find in supermarkets at home, making this store a popular shopping venue with most expats living in Siem Reap.

There on two floors in Angkor Market. On the ground floor, you will find the typical food supplies and groceries, a large selection of wines and beverages, some cooled counters with meat, fish, veggies and dairy products, health and beauty products and even a section with international magazines and newspapers. On the first floor you'll find a large selection of household products, cooking equipment, cleaning detergents, toys and baby products.

Lucky Market

  Lucky Market, Siem Reap

Lucky Market is located on the ground floor of Lucky Mall, the most important shopping mall in Siem Reap. You can find Lucky Mall on Sivutha Blvd, at less than 1km from Pub Street.

In this huge supermarket, you will find a wide range of local and international products. Apart from the usual brands, Lucky Market offers a  wide range of fresh vegetables and fruits, beverages, household products and cooled counters with fish, meat, cheese and other dairy products. There is a bakery with tasty bread and pastries on-site.

Lucky Market is on average a bit more expensive than Angkor Market, but offers a more pleasant shopping experience. Especially if you have a quite big shopping list, it's convenient to browse the spacious aisles with one of the shopping carts on offer.
