Is Siem Reap a safe town?

Siem Reap is quite safe, even at night when you compare to Phnom Penh. Like in any other place you have to watch your belongings and keep them close to you. When you go an bike ride don't but your bag in the basket in front but keep is stratched around your body. Pay attention to your camera and bag when you are sitting in a tuktuk. Anyone that passes can easily grab it. 

When you are out at night, be carefull when entering some dark spots. Don't walk home along, especially women, try to have somebody take you home when you return from a night out. 

Any incident can be reported to the Tourist Police. If you notice any serious fire and any other help you need Siem Reap has also a Fire Station located near the Airport.
