Being the second largest airport in Cambodia, Siem Reap International Airport welcomes just a little bit less passengers than Phnom Penh International Airport. Visitor numbers are constantly increasing for both airports, thanks to the booming tourism industry in South East Asia and Cambodia in particular.
Siem Reap Airport will charm you immediately once you set foot on Cambodian soil. Designed in a contemporary Khmer style and decorated with traditional art crafts, you will be charmed at your first step on Cambodian's ground. Located 8km out of the city center but only 3 km from the magnificent Angkor Wat, watch from the window during the landing to get a fantastic view of this unique site from the 12th century.
The SRIA extends over a land of 195ha and the terminal is a building of 13.000 square meters (plus 700 square meter more for the Domestic Terminal, and 649 for the Cargo) able to welcome over 2 million passengers a year. It's an airport of 4C category with a runway length of 2550m, and 45 meters large with shoulders 2.5 meters wide each, having 16 stands and all the equipments for navigation aids, rescue and fire fighting.
A project of a new airport have been launched by the Cambodian government due to the increment of the traffic, it will be located 60 km away from Siem Reap.
There are 16 airline companies operating on Siem Reap International Airport: Air Asia, Asiana Airlines, Bangkok Airways, BB Airways, Cambodia Angkor Air, Cebu Pacific Air, China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Jetstar Asia, Korean Air, Lao Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Silk Air, Sky Wing Airlines, Tonle Sap Airlines and Vietnam Airlines.

You can get easily your Visa at your arrival to the airport with an international flight, if you didn't apply yet online for an e-visa. Two types of Visa will be offered to you; the Tourist Visa "type T" of one month and 20$ (you can extend it after for one more month), or the Business Visa "type E" of one month also but 25$ (you can extend it after for one, three, six months or a year).
