Our monthly event guide is back! The social calendar is bursting with music, art and dining events to keep you busy all month. In addition, as Christmas approaches, festive activities will entertain all the family. Soieries du Mékong, a social enterprise, creating and selling artisan scarves, invites you to a free exhibition entitled ‘Women’s Tales’ which expresses the fascinating stories behind the women who produce these unique, hand woven accessories. Visit the Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra Golf & Spa Resort’s linkway – open to all, daily from 9.30am – 6.30pm until February 16.

Social Calendar

December 2 : Gingerbread House Decoration

All are welcome to this afternoon fun-filled treat. Help to decorate The Glasshouse at Park Hyatt with gingerbread themed decorations, turning it into into a festive wonderland.

December 3 – 7 : Angkor Photo Festival

Angkor Photo Festival & Workshops (APFW), South east Asia’s longest running photography event, returns to Siem Reap for the 15th time this December. Enjoy free public exhibitions and projections from 3 – 7 December. Read more about the festival in our write up.

Highlights of this year’s festival include the following:

📸 December 3, 7.30 – 10pm – Opening Night Projections at Khema Angkor: Evening projections will feature a selection of multimedia work as well as new projects from across Asia, each portraying issues facing contemporary societies. More Info on angkor-photo.com and Facebook.

📸 December 4, 5 – 6pm – Days in the Sun exhibition opening at FCC Angkor: This free exhibition showcases the extraordinary life and work of Nguyen Van Chanh, a photographer and founder of the famous Luminor Photo Studio in Vietnam. His photographs depict a defining period in Vietnam history, offering a glimpse of his unique approach to wartime photography. The exhibition will run from 3 – 18 December 2019. More Info: Facebook.

December 6 : Sleigh Bells for the Belles of Women’s Resource Center

A festive cocktail fund raiser in support and celebration of Women’s Resource Center. Entry tickets are inclusive of unlimited wine, cheese and charcuterie items. Enjoy live entertainment from Family Sound, as well a chance to win raffle prizes. All proceeds from purchases of Gingerbread Houses at The Glasshouse go to Women’s Resource Center.

December 7 : Summer Opening Party – Jon Sa Trinxa

Jon Sa Trinxa holds the longest DJ Residency on Ibiza at Sa Trinxa, Salinas Beach (since 1993) and is bringing Ibiza to Siem Reap’s very own beach club. Treeline Urban Resort

Treeline Gallery presents Maline Yim’s first solo exhibition in the gallery, The Shadow of Change II. This exhibition features four tissue paper sculptures and ten mixed media works, inspired by her observations and reactions following a recent visit to the province of Kampong Som, which has undergone significant transformation as a result of foreign investment and construction.
