Cambodia commemorates the end of the Khmer Rouge regime on this day, annually. On this date in 1979, troops from Vietnam entered Cambodia and began their assault, which ultimately led to fall of the regime.

January 4: Tiger Talk: Lemur Island with Dr. Patricia Wright & Noel Rowe
This Tiger Talk focusing on primate conservation is the second in a series of events bringing international and local wildlife experts together with the community. Dr. Wright, a leading primatologist, will describe the challenges and experiences of starting one of the leading conservation project in Madagascar. She will also be screening her film, Island of Lemurs, hosted by Morgan Freeman. Author of All the World’s Primates, Noel Rowe, completes the talk by sharing his travels and experiences of photographing primates around the world.

January 10: The Piano Trilogy
The event’s main sponsor, Kang Meng Huy Foundation, proudly presents Metta Legita from Indonesia, Philippe Javelle from France and Gabriele Faja from Italy. Each of the performers, all award winning pianists, will mesmerise the audience with a written or improvised 20 minute set, highlighting the rich tones of the venue’s Steinway & Sons grand piano.
