Cambodia is divided into 23 provinces or khet (ខេត្ត) and the special administrative unit Phnom Penh.

Phnom Penh (ភ្នំពេញ)Each of Cambodia’s 23 provinces is divided into districts or srok (ស្រុក). Phnom Penh is divided into districts or khan (ខណ្ឌ).
Each of the provinces has a capital district.The districts are sub-divided into communes or khums (ឃុំ). In Phnom Penh these sub-districts are called sangkat (សង្កត).
The communes are sub-divided into villages or phums (ភូមិ).
When it comes to Siem Reap, this province has 12 districts or srok.
