How to read Khmer numbers

Not many foreigners learn how to write Khmer, but knowing the written Khmer numerals can be very interesting in certain situations. For example, many local shops and restaurants only show their prices in the Khmer script. After studying the following picture, you will never be ripped off again! 😉

These numbers will also be useful when visiting Thailand or Laos, since both Lao and Thai scirpts are derived from the Khmer one and still bear many resemblances with it.
